Kentucky Peerless Distilling Company began in Henderson, KY under the leadership of an entrepreneur named Henry Kraver in 1889. The original Kentucky Peerless Distilling was Distilled Spirits Producer number 50, from the 1800’s. Today, we are lucky enough to have that same number. The newly assigned DSP numbers are in the 20,000s. Now, 5 generations have been connected to Kentucky Peerless. The family namesake was revived by Kraver’s great-grandson, Corky Taylor and his son Carson Taylor. Not only have Corky and Carson personally revived the Kentucky Peerless bourbon heritage, they have restored history in designing and rebuilding the remarkable distillery as it exists today. All under one roof, the select Kentucky Peerless grains are milled, cooked, fermented, double-distilled, and barreled as bourbon & rye. Our urban distillery and vast family history are unmatched. After five generations of bourbon makers, we have the patience to make your favorite bourbon.
