Kentucky Peerless 10-Year Bourbon Awarded Double Platinum

Henry Kraver’s Old Reserve 10-year Bourbon was released at Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co. on April 22, 2026. After selling out at the distillery, the release has made headlines nationwide, with many naming it in their Top Bourbon list for the year. The 10-year-old Bourbon was officially awarded Double Platinum in the 2026 Ascot Awards. The tasting panel describes it as “Toasty oak aromas, backed up by blackberry and cherry notes. Nice sweetness on the palate with sweet oak and vanilla custard that transitions to a long, lingering finish. Nice creamy viscous mouthfeel. This is what whiskey should be!”

Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co. has garnered an impressive medal collection in the 2026 ASCOT Awards. Along with the Double Platinum for their 10-year-old bourbon, they received a Double Platinum medal for their Double Oak Rye and a Double Platinum medal for their Single Barrel Rye. ASCOT Awards is an international spirits competition with the most respected Council of Tasters in the world. The top-scoring entries from each class move on to the highly anticipated championship round, where they’re judged by Fred Minnick and a panel of expert tasters specific to each category. During this final round, samples are tasted, discussed, and ultimately, champions are crowned.

DOUBLE PLATINUM awards are given to outstanding entries, earning top marks from all judges. These medals are in good company, as Kentucky Peerless has been racking up notable accolades in recent years.  Their Toasted Bourbon was awarded an impressive 98 points, and their High Rye Bourbon was awarded 95 points in the IWSC, where they took home the ‘World’s Best Bourbon’ title. They took home Double Platinum in the 2024 and 2025 Ascot Awards and Double Gold in the 2024 Sip Awards. Kentucky Peerless Owner and CEO, Corky Taylor, was inducted into the Bourbon Hall of Fame in September 2024. They were also named in USA Today’s 10Best Awards’ Best Craft Whiskey and Best Craft Distillery Tour.

“We have an exceptional team that is honestly dedicated to Peerless standards and prioritizes quality and integrity in the same way I do. It is a privilege to watch that dedication be realized. We can’t thank you enough for the overwhelming support we’ve received for Kraver’s Old Reserve. This release means a lot to our family and the Peerless team,” explains Peerless CEO and Fourth Generation Owner, R.M. Corky Taylor.
