Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co. has been quietly aging its rye whiskey for the last two years. It’s almost ready now, but you still have a few months to wait before you can pick up a bottle.
It will be the first whiskey product sold with the Peerless name in 100 years, Taylor said. The current iteration of Peerless was founded much more recently than that, reviving a family brand that had operated out of Henderson, Ky., a century ago.
