Peerless High Rye Bourbon Awarded
Bourbon Trophy 2024
THE BEST OF THE BEST
Hopes were high that the International Wine and Spirits' first-ever Global Judging event of North American whiskey on home soil would unearth some fantastic bottles. Well, it didn’t disappoint. An expert panel sampled almost 500 bottles in Kentucky in early September, and the results were just announced. Over 430 medals were awarded, including 30 golds and four outstanding golds. The judges were wowed, to say the least.
Producers awarded gold medals were then put forward to contest the overall trophy in their category.
The IWSC trophies are awarded to the standout performers across a range of categories spanning different spirits, design and packaging. IWSC also awards trophies to the top producers from each region, as well as recognizes the people and businesses who have shone within their sector over the previous year.
Kentucky Peerless High Rye Bourbon Kentucky Straight Whiskey came out on top - awarded the Bourbon Trophy 2024.
The judges described the High Rye Bourbon sipping experience:
The nose greets with classic, inviting aromas of animal hide and smoky campfire embers. On the palate, a harmonious blend of rich baking spices and luscious red fruits unfolds, while a subtly dry finish reveals hints of buttery marmalade on toast.
Peerless Bourbon Comes Out on Top - Twice
For the first time, one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious spirits competitions held a judging event in North America, and a small family-owned distillery came out on top.
