New York Sour
2 oz Peerless® Rye
1 oz fresh lemon juice
½ oz simple syrup
1 oz fruity red wine (Shiraz or Malbec) to float on top
Combine the first three ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake until the outside of the shaker is frosty, about 30 seconds.
Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
Gently pour ½ oz fruity red wine (such as Shiraz or Malbec) over the back of a spoon held just above the drink's surface so wine floats on top.
